A Community Site for Architecture and Design in Second Life
Wikitecture Demonstration and Tutorial
Through Wikipedia and 'Open Source' software you can contribute to the world's largest encyclopedia and operating system. Could a burgeoning Metaverse, like Second Life, be used as the 3-dimensional platform for an Open-Source approach to architecture and humanitarian building projects worldwide?
As a follow-up to the invitation letter we sent you on Monday, we will also be having an in-world meeting in 'Second Life' to demonstrate how this 3D-wiki will actually work in practice during the evolving Nyaya project. We will demonstrate how you can cycle through all the design iterations within the 'wiki-tree' as well as how you can take someone else work, and after modifying it, save it back to the 'wiki-tree' as a new branching design iteration.
